Week 30. I know it's only been a few days since my last post, but I've got to tell ya, PREGNANT really sunk in today. 30 weeks pregnant that is... A completely different beast than week 14 pregnant or even week 27 pregnant.
Sunday, I was starving after church. Ten bites into my lunch I was overcome by extreme fullness. My inner physician decided that it was a result of this baby growing so much, that he's overtaking every nook & cranny available, which consequently effects how much I can eat/drink. As I made my way to the car I felt as though I'd been at an all you can eat buffet & over indulged 4 times over... I was MISERABLY full. So as I sat in the passenger seat, I decided to take my shoes off because week 30 also brought the lovely gift of swollen feet. Michael & my dear friend Angie so kindly pointed out the noticeable difference earlier in the week & since then, I swear all of my shoes magically shrunk.

Today I unknowingly made a poor shoe choice. I actually removed the laces from my shoes to try & improvise… ya no bueno. The shoe to foot ratio was not in my favor & I spent the day in my socks. After work I walked to my car in my shoes that were screaming “TAKE ME OFF NOW” to find that my loving husband secretly placed flip flops in the driver’s seat with this post-it note:
Spoiled, I know. He also woke up to get me gas this morning & surprised me with McDonald’s oatmeal, hot chocolate, & an Arizona Tea Mango Madness. Sorry to brag, but I LOVE my husband & appreciate his kind gestures, so he deserves MAJOR praise!
So week 30 has been the most challenging in my pregnancy, but my husband is doing his part to make it as comfortable & easy as possible. This week also brings my 30th birthday…funny right, but at this rate, 30 is going to be the BEST YEAR EVER!
XOXO,
Mel
